AURORA, Ill. (July 22, 2008) - Live Nation Motor Sports, Inc., announced today the 11-stop 2009 AMA Arenacross Series schedule that kicks off with a prequel race to the season at Des Moines. Wells Fargo Arena November 7-9.
There are three new additions to the 2009 schedule, Tulsa, Okla., at the BOK Center, Fresno, Calif., at the Save Mart Center and Highland Heights, Ken., at Bank of Kentucky Arena. Also new this year is the consolidation of the schedule eliminating the split weekend format that was implemented two years ago. Reigning AMA Arenacross Series champion Chad Johnson will defend his 2008 championship as the series celebrates its 25th year of racing.
"We've made some changes to the AMA Arenacross Series for the 2009 season that we feel is a benefit to the riders, teams and sport of arenacross," said Jayme Dalsing, director of arenacross, Live Nation Motor Sports, Inc. "The prequel race at Des Moines is the perfect way to preview the season and help riders prepare for the kick off in Grand Rapids."

Each stop of the series will feature Sunday amateur days and qualifying for the Amateur Arenacross World Finals that takes place at Las Vegas? MGM Grand Garden Arena.
