Jersey Riders Head South for the Winter

Once the days get shorter and the weather turns cold it is time to head south for the winter. For what is probably the past couple of decades Suzuki rider and perennial NJ hero Barry Carsten packs up and heads to the sunny skies of Florida. Starting with the Mini Olympics in November Carsten is pretty much a Florida regular.
After winning multiple classes at the Mini o's Carsten has continued his successful ways.
At round 1 of the series held at Gatorback park in Gainesville Florida Carsten was the overall winner in the 40 plus class and 5th overall in the Open Pro Class. Meanwhile Barry's son Corey was 16th overall in the 65cc 10-11 class.
At round 2 held at Waldo Barry was second overall in both the 30 and 35+ classes while Corey bettered his round 1 finish by going 16-14 for 14th overall. Southhampton NJ's Mike Tippin Jr joined the Jersey crowd by finishing 9th in the 16-24 class and 13 in the 250A class.
