The resume acceptance period will begin on September 1st and run through October 31st. will be again accepting online resumes exclusively through MxSponsor.com. Mt Holly North of the border, EH!

The final round of the Canadian national motocross series was held last weekend at Walton and the Mt Holly Racing backed duo of Ryan Gainey and Bryan Wallace once again did battle with Canada's finest. In the premier MX 1 class Gainey was 16-12 for 13th overall while Wallace was 17-dnf for 23rd overall. Their results in just three rounds of the nine round series were good enough for Gainey to finish 27th overall and Wallace to finish 29th overall for the season. Great job guys, EH!

(August 19, 2008) – Motocross 338, New England’s pro motocross facility, welcomes the AMA Toyota Motocross Championship Presented by FMF for the penultimate round of the 2008 season with the Kicker Audio Southwick Motocross National. On August 23-24, the world’s best riders will tackle the “Sandbox” for round 11 of the 12-race championship.

Moving from its traditional mid-season date, the circuit’s only sand track will present new challenges for the competitors with weather conditions expected to be at their warmest ever. Since hosting its first AMA Pro National in 1976, Motocross 338 has seen many of the sports greatest riders grace the winners circle. However, no rider has been more dominant at Southwick than Ricky Carmichael, whose nine overall victories are five more than any other rider. Monster Energy Kawasaki’s James Stewart and Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto have been the men to beat in the AMA Motocross and AMA Motocross Lites classes and both riders clinched their respective championships last weekend in Millville, Minn. For Stewart, it was his first career AMA Motocross title while Villopoto claimed AMA Motocross Lites crown number three. Heading into Southwick, Stewart is just four moto wins away from being the second rider in history to complete a perfect season while Rockstar/Makita Suzuki’s Ryan Dungey guns for his third consecutive victory in AMA Motocross Lites.

Track manager Ralph Pittello has made significant strides to make the 2008 event at Southwick available to more fans, expanding the track’s VIP area as well as adding a large, yet limited number of bleacher seating free for those in attendance.

In addition to the excitement of the AMA Toyota Motocross Championship, the AMA/WMA Women’s National Motocross Championship Presented by Kawasaki competes in round five of its six-race season. New Jersey Racers North of the Border

A couple of NJ riders tried their luck North of the Border at Round 8 of the Monster Energy CMRC Motocross Nationals. This past weekend's event was held at the Sand Del Lee track in Munster, Ontario, Canada. In MX2 class action Freehold Honda backed Bobby Jimenez (Browns Mills) went 18-dnf for 23rd overall while Mt Holly Racing teammates Bryan Wallace and Ryan Gainey did battle in the MX1 class. Wallace went 13-15 for 15th overall and Gainey finished 19-19 for 20th overall. Wallace is now 26th while Gainey is 29th in the overall points stndings.

Futrell’s Four-For-Four Foray 6/29/2008

ENGLISHTOWN, NJ

Warm temperatures and a threat of severe storms greeted the more than 600 riders who came to Old Bridge Township’s Raceway Park for round seven of the Ultimate MX Series. The District 6 Promoters Group created this new-for-2008 series that will take place over the summer, with a race at each of the district’s nine tracks. With contingencies on the line from all of the major manufacturers at most rounds and a series points championship at stake, the competition was sure to be intense.

And intense it was, as some of the fastest riders in the Northeast showed up to compete. The big winner for the weekend was clearly Clinton, North Carolina’s Taylor Futrell. The VPE/Serious Racewear Honda rider showed the fans at Englishtown that he would be the guy to beat in the A class this August in Tennessee. Although Futrell didn’t get the holeshot in every moto, he did quickly dispatch the rest of the class on his way to a perfect four-for-four day.

Keeping Futrell honest in the 250 Expert class was Thor-backed Kawasaki rider Brian Mulcahy, who used 2-4 moto scores to claim second overall behind the Honda speedster. Third overall was Shift/Matt’s Honda-backed Ryan Blizzard, with 4-3 finishes.

In 450 Expert-class racing, KPS/MCC-backed Dakota Kessler went 2-2 to keep Futrell in sight for second overall, with another Honda rider in third – Trapani’s/Dragon-sponsored Anthony Roth, whose 4-3 scores narrowly edged New Jersey hero Barry Carsten’s 3-4 tally for third overall.

As good as Futrell was in the Expert class, Cicero, New York’s Josh Emmi was just as dominant... almost. Only Sal Calamita was able to stop the Kawasaki rider’s dominance. Emmi won both 450 B motos, with Kyle Sidle putting his Lebanon Valley Cycles-backed Suzuki in second with 2-2 finishes and Delmarva Powersports-sponsored Joshua Willin using 3-5 scores for third. Emmi was able to win the first 250 B moto, followed by Sidle and Yamaha rider Kody Renzland. In the second moto, Honda-mounted Calamita was able to ruin Emmi’s perfect day. Emmi held on to second, with Sidle in third. Emmi won the overall, followed by Calamita and Sidle in second and third, respectively.
