God Speed Moto Brother

RIP Jeremy Lusk

I didn't know Jeremy Lusk, in fact I've never even met him. But that doesn't make it any less difficult for the moto family to deal with his loss. The tight knit community that is motocross and freestyle motocross has lost one of it's young stars. Seemingly at the pinnacle of his career. He was an X Games Gold medalist and was recently featured on the cover of Transworld Motocross Magazine as their 2008 FMX Rider of the year.
One someone dies so young you can't help to reflect on what could have been when instead you should focus on what was. By all accounts Jeremy lived his life with passion and experienced it to the fullest, something we should all strive to do. Perhaps we can all learn something from Jeremy and go out and LIVE LIFE!

CBS Sports to air Preview Show of 2009 Monster Energy® Supercross Season

AURORA, Ill. – Feld Motor Sports announced today that CBS Sports will broadcast a one-hour preview show in HD of the 2009 Monster Energy® AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, Saturday, December 27 at 2:00 p.m. EST.

Looking ahead at the highly anticipated 2009 Monster Energy® Supercross championship, the preview show sets up the various storylines. CBS Sports gives viewers an in-depth analysis of the Chad Reed/James Stewart rivalry and weighs in on AMA Supercross Lites star Ryan Villopoto’s move to the premier AMA Supercross class.

With a new season comes new changes, and two of the biggest changes are Stewart and Reed’s new teams. The show will give an overview of the 2009 Monster Energy® Supercross team line-up.

“This is a great way to preview the 2009 Monster Energy® Supercross championship,” said Dave Prater, director of supercross, Feld Motor Sports. “With the highly publicized team changes of Reed and Stewart, some of the other major team changes were overshadowed. The one-hour preview show will bring fans up to speed on who’s racing where.”

The stars of tomorrow will be illuminated with a close look at the AMA Supercross Lites class’ top riders. Defending regional champions Jason Lawrence (West) and Trey Canard (East) will defend their championships against a host of hungry races looking to make their mark, including Ryan Dungey, winner of three main event and the Dave Coombs Sr. East/West Shootout and Austin Stroupe, who won a main event last year as a rookie.

CBS Sports will broadcast nine hours of Monster Energy® Supercross in 2008, which will include seven races, the preview show and a recap show Sunday, May 3 at Noon EST.
